Trimming...

goat's hooves
is
a
must
if you keep goats.

The last couple weeks have been a true taste of
spring around here.
So,
we've mucked out the goat shelter
THANKS Daniel & Jonathan
and trimmed their hooves,
THANKS Jonathan!

Next?
Haircuts!
Well, not exactly.
But a good udder 'trim' is definitely in order!

We're only milking one of our two does at present.
She's giving a solid 1/2 gallon of yummy milk
each morning, for which we are thankful.
We weren't able to breed them this last fall,
but hopefully Tippy will 'milk through' or at least close to it.
We're hoping
that our barn pens will be done this year so we'll
be set up to breed them and have kids :)

A change of seasons~

Where we live, in our mountain home, the seasons are changing.  Already we have had snow dust the mountains more than once this fall....
