Literally!
On opening day of bull elk, Jonathan
downed an elk.
Then, buck deer season began.
Every morning and evening Jonathan took his
younger sister out to help her try to get her first buck.
Then, finally, on Thursday~

Hunting season started and ended with a bang around here!
We are so blessed to have a freezer full of meat~
This year, each of the kids got their tags and had success~
and we were able to make some amazing (we think so)
deer sausage:
breakfast savory sausage
breakfast sweet sausage
Italian sausage
and a little HOT sausage for the husband :)
and some jerky...
The hard work and exhaustion of this last week has
paid off and now everything is packaged and frozen.
