Christmas Giving~

Well, it's all over~
the cooking,
the baking,
the shopping,
the hiding,
the wrapping,
 the opening...

This year, as always, we attended our church's
Christmas Eve Candlelight Service.
Afterwards, we went to holiday parties
and somehow managed to get home at 12 midnight...
just in time to usher in Christmas Day.
One tired bunch went to bed
and then awoke the next morning
to aromatic grit-sausage breakfast casserole.
YUM!
Which, by the way, would of been promptly eaten
if 'Wiley coyote' hadn't parked himself
next to our house in full view of the boys...
who, of course, took a shot at him off the deck
then,
ran out of the house,
guns in hand,
but, if I may say,
not appropriately dressed for 12 degree weather.
But, that's another story...
I'll suffice it to say,
that Daniel, after near frostbite,
and slurred speech (yes, mom was just a little worried!),
needed to be rescued by dad on the snowmobile.
Some warm clothes, rubbing down of limbs,
and a thermos of hot chocolate were quite reviving.
So, BREAKFAST casserole
became lunch casserole instead.
On with the other story~
where was I?
Oh, yes, Christmas...
This year was such a blessing to see the love,
thoughtfulness, and handmade creativity in gift giving.
 Here's a few~
A beautiful bouquet from Dave
of gorgeous roses & lilies~

Daniel 'modeling' a new sweatshirt.
Someday he hopes to hunt a Whitetail back east~
Some new fun clothes~
A picture made with love for a brother~
Our 'traditional' CD books on tape
that will occupy some cold winter nights~

A change of seasons~

Where we live, in our mountain home, the seasons are changing.  Already we have had snow dust the mountains more than once this fall....
