...started out as usual~
let the puppy out of her kennel,
sweep & mop the floor,
throw in a load of laundry,
make blueberry pancakes.
And then,
"There's a coyote,
see him?
Do you hear him?
He's right next to the house!"
And,
the chase was on~
Jonathan got his gun and 'BAM'
shot him!
They all three grabbed their coats and
ran out the door.
Even Olivia, who's been around quite a few 'kills',
said, "I want to go".
They followed him all the way down to the pond where
he was held up in the drain pipe with no tracks
coming out the other side.
Jonathan gave him a shot, in the head, to make sure
he was dead...
and
carried him home!
How was your homeschool morning?
I have to add that
for a few years now Jonathan (& Daniel) have wanted
to shoot a coyote.
They've tried all sorts of ways to 'call' them in,
but the coy coyotes have been evasive
and seem to sneak all around,
always out of range...
Until
today!

Oh my goodness! What a fun filled day of homeschooling. All three of my boys thought that was the coolest thing to see (on a blog) That's what I love about being able to stay at home and witness something so amazing like a coyote hunt. We have 40 acres and my guys are always out back hunting something. So much fun! Oh and tell your kiddos "great job on a great hunt"!
